There are many greeting card companies who excel at creating cards with flowery, fuzzy, warm sentiment.
We're not one of them.
Colin Hayes, the founder of Cobenali Creations, is an award-winning illustrator, artist, and published columnist. He has created illustrations professionally since 1993 for a wide variety of clients, including the New York Times, American Airlines, Esquire, Hewlett Packard, Rolling Stone, Microsoft, Sports Illustrated, Volkswagen, Wall Street Journal, Target, Golf Digest, and dozens more.
His writing credits include a stint as a freelance columnist for Northwest Runner Magazine.
Colin has had two comic strips (one political, the other sports-related) syndicated in many newspapers around the U.S.
Colin is also known for his commissioned portrait work. After creating a portrait of the late comedian Don Rickles on a whim, his wife Barbara saw it and invited him to his private memorial service in Los Angeles in 2017. The portrait had been enlarged and was the only image of Mr. Rickles displayed at the service.
After 25 years of professional illustration, he decided to combine his passions for humor, illustration and realistic animal drawings into two unique lines of greeting cards, which will be available in stores nationally in 2019.
He lives in Spokane Valley, WA with his wife,
two daughters and one very needy Labrador Retriever.
